LAS VEGAS, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Multicultural outreach, as many communications professionals will tell you, is more than simple translation and targeted placement. With 311 languages (including 162 indigenous and 149 immigrant languages), the United States is the fifth most linguistically diverse country in the world, according to the National Virtual Translation Center. And, if you Google “multicultural communications,” you’ll get more than 5.6 million results.
This half-day seminar will teach community professionals how to navigate strategic planning, implementation and research while building meaningful relationships across cultures. Presented by the Public Relations Society of America Las Vegas chapter in conjunction with PR Newswire, the seminar is Friday, Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Boulevard.

A luncheon with a panel presentation on “Secrets for Effectively Linking with Diverse Audiences” will conclude the seminar.
To attend the presentation, workshop and luncheon is $80 for PRSA-Las Vegas members or $90 for non-members. To attend the panel lunch only is $35 for PRSA-Las Vegas members or $40 for non-members. To register for this event, go to www.prsalasvegas.com.
