Miami, FL,–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 11, 2003–Univision, America’s leading Spanish-language television network, premieres ‘Engañada’ (Deceived), a story of deception and love on Monday, June 16, 2003 at 1pm ET. Produced by Venezuelan TV network, Venevisión, ‘Engañada’ stars Jorge Aravena and Veronica Schneider and will air weekdays from 1 pm to 2 pm ET/PT (12pm to 1 pm Central/Mountain Time).

After becoming pregnant by a married man, Rosalinda (Veronica Schneider) runs away to the country to start a new life on her own. Thus begins the deception that keeps her daughter, Marisela (Veronica Schneider), in the dark about her real identity and about the fact that she is heir to an immense fortune.

As a young adult, Marisela meets Gabriel (Jorge Aravena), who happens to be her father’s godson, and they fall in love at first sight. Gabriel’s appearance in her life brings her hidden past to light, revealing who she really is. Happy to have found her long-lost niece, Marisela’s millionaire aunt changes her will to include her. But the newly drafted testament falls into the wrong hands. Two thoroughly evil people, Gabriel’s best friend and his fiancée, conspire to keep Marisela from receiving what is rightly hers… and also succeed in separating her from Gabriel.

Twenty years later, Marisela and Gabriel meet again; only to find that the love they once felt is still there, as well as the obstacles that impeded their happiness. Will further deceptions keep them apart? Only time, fate, and Univision Network will tell.
