LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Rick Najera and his comedy ensemble, LATINOLOGUES TU, have partnered up with Latino Family Institute, an adoption, foster care, and family support agency, to collect new unwrapped toys at its three remaining Saturday shows of 2008 (Nov 8, Nov 15, Nov 22). Toys will be accepted at The Hayworth Theatre box office in exchange for a half-priced admission ticket, for $10. Najera and cast will present the gifts to the children at Latino Family Institute at Christmastime. LATINOLOGUES TU will then take a holiday hiatus and return after the New Year.
Latino Family Institute (www.lfiservices.org) provides adoption and foster care services in Los Angeles County and provides family support through a child abuse prevention program in Orange County to Latino families impacted by HIV/AIDS and substance abuse. LFI also provides Adoption Options trainings statewide and in Puerto Rico. All services are provided at no costs to families. Programs include Adoption, Foster Care, Kinship Care, Infant Adoption Awareness Training Program (IAATP), Abandoned Infant Assistance program (AIA), and Nuestras Familias project.
