Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–August 17, 2006–Mega TV Channel 22, in connection with a press conference event at its Coconut Grove headquarters, yesterday announced the launch of nine new series additions to Mega TV’s Fall program schedule beginning September 4, 2006. Hosted by Mega TV’s weekend music magazine “LaMusica.com” personalities, Mariela Encarnación and Rashel Diaz, Mega TV welcomed 200 clients and guests to get a sneak peek at its new fall line-up of television programming and introduce clients and guests to Mega TV’s newest Mega Men.
Headlining Mega TV’s new fall line up is renowned Peruvian writer and journalist, Jaime Bayly. Known throughout Latin America for his interviews and eclectic guests, Jaime Bayly will host “Bayly” on Mega TV primetime Monday through Friday at 10:00 p.m.
Omar Moynelo and his irreverent “Noticero” will move to primetime on Sundays at 8:30 p.m. He will continue to take a comical look at the news that impacts everyone in South Florida including issues at City Hall, Fidel Castro’s health crisis, the war on terror and the high cost of gas.
“El Vacilon con Enrique y Joe” is a new one-hour weekly series hosted by Enrique Santos and Joe Ferrero, popular personalities of El Zol 95.7, Mega TV’s sister station. Airing on Mondays at 9 p.m., “El Vacilon” will have skits, audience interaction, parodies, live contests, video clips and special segments.
“Mega News” is a new weekend entertainment news program, hosted by Camilo Egaña, on Sundays at 8 p.m. covering artists, singers, concerts, and fashion. Egana will also host “Raíces y Recuerdos”, a new Mega TV show on Sundays at 9 p.m. that promises to take viewers on a nostalgic voyage through the past as he takes a look back at the history of music, television and entertainment.
“Xpediente” will take a hard look at unsolved crimes starting on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. and will be hosted by investigative reporter and war correspondent, Allan Villafaña. Xpediente will reconstruct and reenact crimes and identify possible suspects using physical evidence, photographs, videos, testimonies and confessions.
“Casa & Estilo” will air Monday through Friday at 5:30 p.m. This lifestyles series is based on the like-named magazine very well known among Hispanic readers. The program has been nominated for countless awards and has already become a favorite in Latin America and Spain.
“La Corte Del Pueblo” will air Monday through Friday at 6 p.m. Judge Manuel Franco of Los Angeles takes a no nonsense approach to the law in the court room and will preside over all types of interesting cases. He will review case after case in an effort to expose the truth and to determine innocence
“El día menos pensado” is a modern take to the “Twilight Zone” but with a Latin Twist. It will air on Mega TV on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Produced in Chile, the show will explore the inexplicable, the fantastic as well as myths and legends.
