New York, NY,–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–November 4, 2003–Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Salma Hayek, Ricky Martin and Antonio Banderas are just a few of the hottest celebrities featured in People en Español’s most-anticipated issue — “Year in Review” – which hits newsstands on Monday, November 10. The top-selling issue recaps 2003’s most talked about romances, breakups, fashion trends, and media scandals, while celebrating the successes and milestones of the nation’s leading Latin stars. In addition, the photo-filled issue predicts the hottest stars of 2004.

People en Español’s top celebrity pick for stardom in 2004 is Mexican heartthrob Kuno Becker. Best known for his work on several leading telenovelas as well as his critically acclaimed Spanish-language film Lucia, Lucia, Becker is quickly paving his way to Hollywood. With his good looks and irresistible accent, the seasoned violinist is bound to turn heads in 2004 with his first-ever English-language film debut, Imagining Argentina, starring other Hollywood greats Banderas and Emma Thompson.

Another up-and-coming star is Spanish singer David Bisbal, who was the first runner-up on Operacion Triunfo — Spain’s version of American Idol. Bisbal’s vocal mix of pop and ballads are being compared to celebrity crooner Luis Miguel, while his moves parallel the “bon bon shaking” Martin.

Highly publicized romances were the trend in 2003 with Lopez & Ben Affleck leading the charge. Also making news around the world were hot pairs like Cameron Diaz & Justin Timberlake, Hayek & Josh Lucas and Gael Garcia & Natalie Portman. From surfing in Hawaii to kissing in Madrid, these couples made romance even sexier in 2003.

Fashion “must-haves” like the Louis Vuitton multi-colored bags and chandelier earrings topped headlines and generated plenty of buzz this year. Plus, the micro-mini was often sported by the sexiest fashionistas such as Thalia, Roselyn Sanchez and Penelope Cruz.

2003 was also the year for media scandals and shocking moments. Dozens of events took center stage including the Sammy Sosa bat controversy, the Madonna & Britney kiss and the Kobe Bryant rape trial. Less scandalous but equally noted was the removal of Enrique Iglesias infamous mole, and Christina Aguilera’s transformation to a leather-wearing vixen.

All this and more in the “Year in Review” issue of People en Español.
