First-of-its-Kind Program to Promote Healthy Habits Among Children; Program Culminates with Premiere of Wild and Crazy Kids Activity Zone Event.
The event is presented by Nickelodeon to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) VERB(TM). It’s what you do. campaign
Program/event activities based on Nickelodeon’s popular Wild and Crazy Kids TV series
WHO:
More than 3,000 Los Angeles-area youth of all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds are one of the first in the nation to participate in a multi-day education program and event. Many of these children are members of Los Angeles’ leading community-based organizations. Participation in the program, which includes encouraging positive activities, entitles children to attend the February 27 event. (The event is closed to the public.)

The Wild and Crazy Kids Activity Zone Event – Thursday, February 27,

WHY:
The Wild and Crazy Kids Activity Zone program supports the VERB. It’s what you do. campaign, which promotes healthy behavior by encouraging positive activities among children, ages 9-13, and also discourages unhealthy, risky behaviors. Nickelodeon is helping VERB achieve this mission by creating exciting, interactive and empowering activities.
VISUALS:
Nickelodeon’s Wild & Crazy Kids Live Event is hosted by Mati Moralejo, who is also a roving reporter for Nickelodeon’s Game and Sports digital channel GAS. Interviews with Moralejo, local parents/children and program representatives. Cameras will be able to capture footage of children participating in games onstage.
