Over the past four years, the MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s has, on average, contributed in the US to increased sales of 8.25 percent and customer transactions of four percent.

While sales statistics prove that customers are playing the MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s, the company is doing more than simply encouraging participation. McDonald’s is featuring real past MONOPOLY winners on packaging and in commercials to reinforce that the MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s has delivered big winners in the past and that customers can – and do – win.

To further highlight that people do win, for the first time McDonald’s is offering a behind-the-scenes, exclusive look at what it takes to bring the MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s to life. This inside peek at the promotion includes a never before seen look at the product packaging facility where some of the packaging for the promotion is produced, national commercial shoots featuring the first Asian consumer market MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s commercial as well as the story of Charlotte Meade, the $1 million winner in 2006, and how overnight she went from being a regular McDonald’s customer to being a $1 million winner and starring in a television commercial.

The MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s continues to deliver winners. During the past three years, the promotion has delivered over 350 million winners, including a number of top prize winners. Large prize recipients from the past years include two $1 million winners as well as thousands of winners of other prizes. This year the MONOPOLY 2007 Game at McDonald’s is giving away nearly $200 million in cash and prizes.

The MONOPOLY 2007 Game at McDonald’s is available in participating McDonald’s restaurants beginning today through October 29, 2007, while supplies last, and online from today through November 13, 2007. Partners for this year’s game include Foot Locker, Toys “R”Us and American Express. This year Foot Locker and Toy “R”Us have combined to provide nearly 90 million Guaranteed Bonus game pieces, which can be found on Large French Fries, Premium Chicken Sandwiches and Chicken Selects. Each Guaranteed Bonus game piece carries a guaranteed prize or discount such as up to 20 percent off purchases at Foot Locker or up to $5 Toys “R”Us Bucks on each game piece.
