Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–Aug. 27, 2003–Maza Communications Inc., an international consulting firm based in Miami, announced yesterday the launching in the United States of its Workshop on Media Debates in Spanish aimed at political candidates.

“Every political candidate, be it to the presidency, Congress or governor, must be prepared to debate. But political debate is a media event, be it through radio or TV, and that requires mastering a series of basic techniques beyond the speech, per se,” explained Javier Maza, President of Maza Communications. “From the standpoint of media communications, giving the impression of mastering a subject is more important that actually mastering it. In media communications, perception carries more weight than reality.”

Maza Communications has successfully conducted this workshop upon request from important political parties in Mexico, Guatemala and Peru. “Along with our media training workshop, which are still our star product, this workshop on media debates in Spanish is unique in our area. It was created with César Martínez, the creative brain behind the Hispanic-market campaign of the current President of the United States, George W. Bush,” said Maza, who is a professional journalist and has lived in the United States for more than 7 years.
