Mega TV Announces Important Changes to its Local Channel 22 and the Network

-Programming will start at 5:00 P.M. in Miami -Poncho de Anda will join the Paparazzi TV Sensacional team -Fernando del Rincon to host Mega News Late Night Edition


MIAMI, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Spanish Broadcasting System (“SBS”) (Nasdaq: “SBSA”) announced today new changes to its local television station Mega TV Channel 22. Starting Monday, October 26, “ Live,” hosted by Rene Solorio and Alan Jacott, will air at 5:00 P.M. (ET) The program features popular artists, expresses different points of view on the latest music, and discusses upcoming concerts, plays, TV shows and movies.

Mega TV Channel 22 will continue at 5:30 P.M. (ET) with Mega News First Edition, hosted by renowned journalists Camilo Egana and Maria Regina Bustamante.

Channel 22 and Mega TV’s national network that is carried on DirecTV Mas Channel 405 will have the following schedule:

— At 6:00 P.M. (ET) / 3:00 P.M. (PT and Puerto Rico), Mega TV will continue airing its Brazilian soap operas.

— At 7:00 P.M. (ET) / 8:00 P.M. (PT and Puerto Rico), “Paparazzi TV Sensacional” returns to its original format with more scandals, gossip and the latest entertainment buzz. The show that “says it all” is also welcoming entertainment journalist Poncho de Anda to its team of hosts, Lourdes Ruiz Toledo, Daisy Ballmajo and Allan Villafana.

— At 8:00 P.M. (ET) / 9:00 P.M. (PT and Puerto Rico), “Maria Elvira Live” will continue to inform audiences with the unique style of well-known journalist and host Maria Elvira Salazar.

— At 9:00 P.M. (ET) / 10:00 P.M. (PT and Puerto Rico), Alexis Valdes continues to host his famous show “Esta Noche Tu Night.”

— At 10:00 P.M. (ET) / 11:00 P.M. (PT and Puerto Rico), “Infotainment” show “Los Implicados,” hosted by Camilo Egana and Angie Perez, will continue to connect guests and the audience with every aspect of the show.

— At 10:30 P.M. (ET) / 11:30 P.M. (PT and Puerto Rico) Mega News Late Night Edition will now be hosted by journalist-turned-television-host Fernando del Rincon, who is considered one of the most respected Hispanic political analysts in Mexico and the United States. Fernando joins the Mega News team: Camilo Egana, Maria Regina Bustamante, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Alan Jacott and Salvador Morales.
