Summary

Having just successfully completed his record-setting 125-foot jump and backflip over the fountains at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas, Moto X star Mike Metzger rode a motorcycle down Main Street, U.S.A., today as Grand Marshal of “Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams” at Disneyland.

On Thursday, May 4, Metzger was officially recognized by Guinness World Records after completing the longest recorded jump – 125 feet –over the Caesar’s Palace fountains before an audience of more than 15,000. He also became the first to perform a backflip during the jump, which was televised live on ESPN.

In addition to honoring Metzger’s achievement, the Friday parade marks Metzger’s second major appearance at the Disneyland Resort. On July 1, 2003, he kicked off the “X Games Xperience at Disney’s California Adventure” with four freestyle jumps over the replica of the Golden Gate Bridge inside Disney’s California Adventure Park.

Metzger’s appearance at Disneyland occurs during The Happiest Celebration on Earth, a celebration of Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary and 50 years of Disney Parks around the world. Guests at Disneyland Resort can experience all new attractions during the celebration, including “Turtle Talk,” “Buzz Lightyear” and a faster and darker “Space Mountain.”
