Mónica Talán Named Vice President Corporate Communications, Univision Communications Inc.

New York, NY–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – PRNewswire)–January 22, 2008–Univision Communications Inc., the nation’s leading Spanish-language media company, today announced that Mónica Talán has joined Univision as Vice President of Corporate Communications, effective immediately. In this position, Talán will be responsible for managing the Company’s strategic communications and media relations efforts and promoting Univision’s suite of market-leading assets. Talán will be based in New York and report to Maryam Banikarim, Chief Marketing Officer for Univision Communications Inc.

Talán spent more than 10 years at Fleishman-Hillard, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Partner, where she acted as senior counselor and strategist for general and Hispanic market initiatives. Previously, Talán was Public Relations Manager for Enron Latin America. Earlier in her career, Talán served as International Media Coordinator for the Texas Department of Commerce. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.
