Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–November 18, 2002–mun2 television, the best cable alternative for the Latino youth market in the U.S., presents “Loco Comedy Jam,” a one-hour stand-up comedy showcase hosted by comedian Mike Robles. Featuring different comedians, while touring through major cities in the U.S., the weekly program will launch December 1st, and will air every Sunday at 8PM ET/PT
“The Anglo and African-American communities have enjoyed great success in their own comedy shows,” said Yolanda Foster, Vice President of Programming at mun2 television. “With ‘Loco Comedy Jam,’ mun2 will show audiences a glimpse into the idiosyncrasies of the Latino culture, and this emerging new genre of bilingual stand-up comedy.”
Tapping into a younger, more assimilated Latino viewer, “Loco Comedy Jam” will feature a mostly English-language repertoire of primarily Latino stand-up comedians whose observations transcend language and culture. The program will be hosted by TV Show and Comedy Tour producer Mike Robles, a stand-up star in his own right who previously hosted and Executive Produced the highly successful “Que Locos!,” previously on Galavision, and the Emmy-winning television series “Video Mix.” Robles also created the enormously popular “Que Locos! Live Comedy Tour.”
