Washington D.C.–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–Feb. 12, 2004—Gary A. Meo, Senior Vice-President of Print and Internet Sales at the Scarborough Research, confirmed to keynote a luncheon at NAHP Annual Convention in Los Angeles. The Luncheon address will be held at the Biltmore Millennium Hotel in March 19th at noon.
“Understanding Hispanics where they live is crucial to successfully marketing to this important consumer group. I look forward to presenting at the NAHP luncheon and discussing what we in the print business can do to better target these consumers locally, regionally and nationally,” said Meo.
The 2000 Census demonstrated the significance of Latinos as a consumer force, said Meo, who will discuss the Hispanic market in terms of buying power, scope and media usage. The presentation, “Twenty-first Century Perspectives on Marketing to Hispanic Consumers,” will show marketers the value of the Latino audience and the important role the Hispanic print media plays into reaching to this audience, said Meo.
The Hispanic market has not only changed, but has also grown bigger, said Francisco Lozano, Vice-President of Marketing at La Opinion and Co-Chairman at the NAHP annual convention. “Marketers have to learn that the Hispanic media is a reliable and profitable market,” he said.
In August of 2004, Meo will complete ten years with Scarborough Research. He has also worked for Hispanic Magazine and the Los Angeles Times.
Scarborough Research is a New York-based research firm that conducts consumer surveys in 75 U.S. markets. Scarborough measures demographics, media usage, shopping, product purchasing, and lifestyles across hundreds of consumer behavior categories.
