New Office Depot In-Store Sweepstakes Allows Small Business Customers to Live Like Trump

Company Partners with OMD, Clear Channel Katz Advantage and Premiere Radio Networks to Launch Nationwide "Trumped in New York!" Sweepstakes

New York, NY–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–November 4, 2004–Office Depot (NYSE:ODP), one of the world’s leading resellers of office products and services, today announced that it has teamed with OMD, Clear Channel Katz Advantage and Premiere Radio Networks to implement the company’s latest promotion aimed at small business customers — the Office Depot Trumped! In New York sweepstakes.

The national promotion, which kicks off on November 7 and runs to November 26 in more than 900 Office Depot stores across the country, offers Office Depot shoppers the opportunity to win a Donald Trump-themed first class trip to New York City.

The grand prize includes:

— Round trip airfare for two;

— Four-day/three-night accommodations at the Trump International Hotel and Tower;

— 30-minute helicopter tour of Big Apple landmarks;

— 6-hour private guided limousine tour covering Trump-themed locations; and an

— HP digital camera for capturing the memories.

50 first-prize winners will each receive a $500 Office Depot gift card, while 100 second-prize winners each receive a $50 Office Depot gift card.

“Office Depot is committed to providing our small business customers with the products and services that make them successful,” noted Tony Ueber, Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Decision Support for Office Depot. “But we also want to help them have a little fun. This sweepstakes delivers on that objective and is a perfect complement to our current sponsorship of the Trumped! with Donald Trump radio feature that airs weekdays on more than 400 stations internationally.”

According to Ueber, the sweepstakes will be supported on a national basis (each week for a three-week period) by the distribution of 30 million Office Depot inserts as well as through in-store point-of-sale counter cards at all Office Depot stores in the continental U.S.

Additionally, radio stations in 29 markets will drive listeners to visit Office Depot retail locations. Radio remotes will take place in select cities, some of which tie-in to ribbon-cutting events celebrating the opening of new Office Depot stores. (These new stores will feature Office Depot’s industry-leading M2 retail format and are part of the company’s most aggressive retail expansion program to date.)

To enter, customers can visit participating Office Depot locations. There is no purchase necessary. Entry forms are available in-store only – not online. Entry forms must be filled-out and mailed to the PO Box provided. Customers are responsible for mailing their entries to the specified address. Entry forms will not be collected at the store. About the Relationship Between the Companies

OMD helped initiate the Office Depot/Trump relationship as well as the sponsorship of the Trumped! with Donald Trump radio program. OMD also negotiated an extension of the relationship by securing rights to air Trump copy locally as well as outside of the radio feature.
