Parsippany, NJ–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–January 31, 2007–NRT, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage company, today announced the appointment of Lorna Lumpris as director of fair housing. Lumpris will be responsible for leading NRT’s firmly established fair housing initiatives in more than 35 major metropolitan markets across the country, and she will work closely with NRT’s fair housing partner, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC). Lumpris will report directly to Judy Reeves, NRT’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. The appointment follows on the heels of the company’s delivery of comprehensive, three-part fair housing training workshops to 45,000 sales associates during 2006, with the balance of NRT’s agents to receive the workshops within the next few months.

“NRT’s commitment to fair housing extends to every level of our organization,” said Bruce Zipf, president and chief executive officer. “We are extremely proud of our alliance with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, and we believe our training and certification program for sales associates to promote fair housing practices across the country is unmatched within the real estate industry. I am confident that Lorna’s experience and skill set will help guide NRT’s strong commitment to the high standards we have set to help consumers live in any community they choose.”

In May 2006, NRT announced a comprehensive, company-wide rollout of fair housing training to its sales associates in conjunction with its national fair housing partner, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. Further underscoring the company’s commitment to fair housing, sales associates affiliated with an NRT company are required to sign the NRT Fair Housing Pledge. The Pledge certifies their personal commitment to provide equal professional service to any prospective client, customer or resident of any community.

Lumpris, a graduate of Rutgers University, is a licensed Realtor(R), with more than 20 years’ experience in corporate quality improvement planning and customer service training, including positions with AT&T Credit Corporation and Siemens Financial Services. She has numerous achievements in advancing college placements among inner-city high school students and is fluent in Spanish.
