International Recording Artist Ana Cristina is Awarded 2005 ‘Most Dynamic Youth’ by the American Cancer Society

Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 8, 2005–The American Cancer Society recognized International recording artist Ana Cristina as the “Most Dynamic Youth” in Florida on Sunday June 5, 2005. This luncheon to honor women has been held for the past 18 years and was held this year on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel on Brickell.

This 20 year old Cuban-American prodigy who recently made History as the First Hispanic to perform the National Anthem at a Presidential Inauguration is not only one of the most superb voices in music with a 6 Octave vocal range, but she is also a bilingual songwriter, Guitarist, and Pianist.

She is also heavily involved in her community as a voting member of the Latin Recording Academy ,active supporter of the Bay Point Schools charity, and of the American Cancer Society.

One of the most powerful vocalists in the entertainment industry, Ana Cristina signed with Sony Music International’s label, Sony Discos, at the age of fifteen. She has since then worked with the industry’s leading producers, including Rudy Perez, Emilio Estefan Jr., Kike Santander, Manny Benito, and Estefano. Her first self-titled debut album already has hit the top of the charts throughout Latin America and she is currently recording her debut English album.

From playing the piano and the guitar to writing her own songs, Ana Cristina undoubtedly possesses a plethora of talent. In the words of the renowned 6 time Grammy winning producer Rudy Perez, “I can honestly say there are very few times in my life that I have met a person and a voice quite like hers.”

American Cancer Society supports and conducts life-saving research, public education programs, and service rehabilitation to cancer patients. It was founded by Dr. Wilma Tunon and has been hosting its annual award luncheon for the past 18 years. Past recipients of the “Most Dynamic Women Award” include Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Columba Bush, and Katherine Fernandez Rundle. This is the first annual year that the “Most Dynamic Youth Award” has taken place.
