Houston, TX–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–July 9, 2007–PartyLite, the world’s largest direct seller of home ambiance products including candles, candle accessories and home fragrance products, will host three community open houses for Houston-area residents interested in learning more about starting their own home-based business.
Conducted in English and Spanish, the informational sessions will be held at the George Brown Convention Center (1001 Avenida de las Americas), in rooms 332 D and E on Saturday, July 21, 10 a.m.–noon; Sunday, July 22, 6-8 p.m.; and Monday, July 23, 7-9 p.m.
Successful independent PartyLite consultants will be on hand to answer questions about the business: how to get started; products, training and support; income potential; and flexible time commitment.
“Being your own boss changes everything!” said Theresa Borja, Latino development manager, PartyLite. “Nearly every woman I know struggles every day with the same issue – the need to earn income versus the need for time with children and family. Direct selling is a fantastic way to get both.”
According to Borja, community open house attendees will learn how women are benefiting from the power of starting and managing their own PartyLite businesses, which offer unlimited income within a business model that promotes helping others succeed.
“I know so many stories about women who have changed their lives,” said Borja. “They’ve put themselves through school, they have time to care for their children or elderly parents, or they’ve been able to purchase a home for the first time.”
Borja stresses that it’s necessary to do your homework before getting involved in any business. “It’s important to ask the right questions,” she said. “Unlike some direct selling opportunities, starting a PartyLite business is risk-free, with absolutely no out-of-pocket start-up costs and no personal investment in inventory. While each PartyLite consultant manages her business independently to fit her own lifestyle, experienced highly-successful leaders will guide, motivate and support you every step of the way.”
The community open houses are being held in conjunction with the PartyLite 2007 national convention to be held in the Houston Toyota Center (1510 Polk Street), July 25-28. More than 6,000 PartyLite consultants are expected to attend the conference.
PartyLite candles and home fragrance accessories are sold through home parties by more than 50,000 people in 10 countries. More than 12 million people attend PartyLite parties around the world every year. Founded in 1973, PartyLite is a member of the Blyth, Inc. family of home fragrance products and related candle accessories, traded on the New York Stock Exchange, symbol BTH.
