Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–December 12, 2005–A scrumptious holiday feast for 12 on a tight budget is thought to be impossible, but not for Latin food and décor expert Ingrid Hoffmann. She will unveil her holiday dinner for 12 under $48 during her regular live cooking segment on Univision’s “Despierta America” morning show Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005.
Hoffmann, who specializes in food and décor ideas that are affordable, accessible and easy to prepare, has created a true holiday feast for the price of an entrée at a high-end restaurant. Her Latin-infused meal features six courses including a succulent baked ham seasoned with cola and lime juice as well as side items such as potato salad with chipotle sauce and broccoli poblano pepper casserole. The meal closes with a heavenly cake for dessert.
“Even though it costs less than $48, my holiday meal for 12 is sure to impress even the most demanding gourmets,” said Hoffmann. “All of the ingredients are readily available, and the entire meal is fun and easy to make.”
The recipe will also appear prominently in the Univision Web site from Dec. 15 through the remainder of the holidays, and it will be featured in the Web site for Hoffmann’s TV show at http://www.deliciosotv.com as well as in her column in the Rumbo Spanish-language newspapers on Dec. 14.
Hoffmann’s television show, “Delicioso with Ingrid Hoffmann,” airs on DirecTV during daytime and primetime hours every Wednesday. Now in production for its second season, “Delicioso” (Spanish for delicious) features Hoffmann’s signature food and décor tips. In addition, Hoffmann has served since 2003 as the food and décor feature writer for BuenHogar magazine, the Spanish version of Good Housekeeping. She is currently starring in BuenHogar’s national Spanish-language TV advertising campaign.
