The next era in Television entertainment for this crucial ethnic power is here. Now with R. Paniagua’s innovative presentation of a two hour weekly block of English language programming on BET JAZZ, the 24 hour Jazz Channel, geared to entertain this fast growing community. Beginning Saturday April 2nd, and every Saturday evening, from 10 p.m. to 12 midnight ET (7 – 9 p.m. Pacific Time), two television programs VIVA AMERICA and LATIN BEAT, will air as a two hour programming block on the BET JAZZ Channel. These shows will bridge cultural issues, music, fashion, sports, business and other areas of interest to the community targeting the affluent Latino.

VIVA AMERICA, in its second season, provides a repertoire of the Latino culture, showcasing the success of Latinos in areas such as Music, Fashion, Sports and Business.

The show translates into special segments with interviews in Music, Sports, Arts, Ethnic Cuisine and special interviews with top Latino personalities. In addition, it will be a guide to special events, popular music and mainstream artists of Hispanic descent.

Anchored in New York, and hosted by Luis Lopez and hostess Tatiana Bascope, the show will include segments from Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago and other key Latino pockets around the nation, providing a flavorful package of the Latino experience. Several correspondents will review a variety of topics that will capture the essence of the Latino culture.

VIVA AMERICA is indeed a new trend in Latino television. Lookout for interviews with musical artists like Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Tego Calderon, Enrique Iglesias, Narcisco Rodríquez fashion designer for Sex in the City, sports figure Tito Trinidad, Latin Jazz artist Arturo O‚Farrell, actors Jimmy Smits, Rosie Perez, Zoey Saldaña.

LATIN BEAT follows and brings the Latino swing to the audience with a one hour Latino Music Video Show that will take the viewers on a musical voyage throughout the Global Latino world presenting a musical experience of Latinos in all music genres.

LATIN BEAT presents the diverse musical spectrum of the Latino Music Experience in the genres of Tropical Jazz, Afro Cuban Rhythms, Alternative Latin Pop, Reggaeton, Flamenco and Tango.

The program host, J.I.Starr will guide the audience through a musical journey that will run through the rich Latino Musical Experience. Indeed a captivating experience, Latin Beat, brings the Beat to the Latino.

The musical journey will feature a variety of Latino music not normally showcased, such as Brazilian vocalist Alexandre Pires and Ivan Lines , Latin recording artists Eddie Palmieri, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Ruben Blades, Latin Pop artist David Bisbal, Reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen and Don Omar, from Spain Oreja de Van Gogh, Juanes, Ricardo Arjona from Guatemala, Steve Turre, Mexican Rock Band Mana and much more, in every show of LATIN BEAT.
