DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 7, 2003–Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (“HBC”) (NYSE:HSP), announced today that it helped raise $626,000 for the benefit of children in Mexico via the Centro de Rehabilitacion Infantil Teleton in Mexico City. HBC joined forces with the Teleton for a 27-hour broadcasting marathon, geared at raising desperately needed funds for the children in Mexico who suffer from life-threatening diseases and debilitating conditions which include cerebral palsy, therapy for bone marrow diseases, early stimulation amputees and, genetic and congenital diseases, and spinal injuries. When HBC learned of the plight of these children it was determined to devote time and resources to raise awareness of this worthy cause, and to ask HBC listeners throughout the country to help the children. HBC enlisted the aid of their programming personnel and on-air personalities, all of whom poured out tremendous support. The Teleton was broadcast live from Mexico, reaching listeners of HBC stations across the United States in markets including Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Albuquerque, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco, McAllen, Fresno, and Phoenix. Information about this important Teleton was also posted on Netmio.com, the internet website of HBC that includes the only bilingual City Guide in the country.

HBC raised a total of $626,000, up from $100,000 raised last year. McHenry T.
