LOS ANGELES, CA –-(The Hispanic PR Monitor)–May, 2005– RL Public Relations + Marketing (RLPR), a leading national Hispanic public relations firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York, and Sportivo, its’ Latino sports arm, strengthens its client service commitment with the appointment of Ana Lydia Ochoa as Account Supervisor. Ana Lydia joins the RLPR team with over 10 years experience in consumer, fashion, entertainment and social marketing experience.
Ana Lydia will be responsible for leading national consumer and social media relations for Sears Roebuck, Inc. and local strategic communications initiatives for Telemundo. Along with strategically counseling other agency accounts, Ana Lydia manages junior staff professional development efforts. She will report to Roxanna Lissa, founder and C.E.O. of RLPR.

Ana Lydia served as the Public Relations Manager for Anita Santiago Advertising (ASA), spearheaded the successful launch of IKEA North America’s Hispanic initiative, managed the regional spokesperson campaign for Foster Farms, the west-coasts largest poultry supplier, and oversaw the firms’ external public relations efforts.
Before ASA, Ana Lydia managed the national Hispanic public relations campaign for Mervyn’s, a (then) Target-owned retailer at Valencia, Pérez & Echveste Public Relations (VPE PR). While at VPE PR, Ana Lydia also managed and worked on a wide range of consumer, fashion and entertainment accounts, including: AT&T international consumer long distance, McDonald’s Lo McXimo de la Musica, Washington Mutual Bank, La Opinion, General Mills Trix Circo Mundial, Jafra Cosmetics International and City of Hope.
Prior to VPE PR, Ana Lydia managed multi-ethnic, bilingual accounts such as the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, Family P.A.C.T. (Planning, Access, Care, and Training), The LAGRANT FOUNDATION, NISSAN North American (Tour and Institute), “Silence the Violence” bus tour, the Los Angeles County Tobacco Account and American Lung Association of Los Angeles County.
Educated in Guadalajara, Mexico and California, Ana Lydia graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), Los Angeles with a degree in Merchandise Marketing. Ana Lydia has received a certificate in Public Relations Writing from U.C.L.A, as well as Spanish, marketing, management, desktop publishing / graphic design and health education certificates.
Ana Lydia is FIDM Alumni Advisory Board member, member of the Hispanic Public Relations Associations and American Marketing Association. She has been recognized with the Phenomenal Women Award from the YWCA of Los Angeles County and recognized by the Women’s’ Tobacco Control Coalition for her commitment to women’s health.
