Denton, TX–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–January 8, 2007–Americans found Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is not so desperate when it comes to her celebrity style and George Clooney again tops the list as we take a look back at 2006 in the 13th annual Best Tressed(R) Survey. The survey, commissioned by Sally Beauty and conducted by Harris Interactive(R), asked people to cast a vote on best and worst Hollywood hairstyles from the past year, as the upcoming awards season nears.

Though Americans adored Eva Longoria and George Clooney for their good taste, they may be more attentive in watching the red carpets for celebrities such as Britney Spears and soon to be ex, Kevin Federline. The survey notes these stars had more than one bad hair day in 2006.

A LOOK BACK

Thirteen years ago, when Sally Beauty conducted its first Best Tressed(R) survey, voters envied celebrities such as Sharon Stone, Heather Locklear and John Travolta for their lovely locks.

This year’s female winner for best hair, Eva Longoria, advanced from third to first this year. The very McDreamy Patrick Dempsey made his first appearance on the list this year. Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith kept their status as some of the worst hairstyles in Hollywood.

The Sally Beauty Best Tressed(R) Survey was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive(R) on behalf of Sally Beauty between December 11 and 14, 2006 among a nationwide cross section of 1,107 adults (536 men and 571 women), aged 18 and older. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.
