Whittier, CA–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–Feb. 12, 2003–Staples will host a Small Business Event on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Staples store located at 13550 Whittier Boulevard in Whittier, California. The forum will feature keynote speaker, Monica Lozano, President of La Opinión and will allow small business owners to gather valuable information on starting and improving their companies. Businesses will have the chance to network with local and national vendors and the opportunity to exchange success stories with other local business owners.
Lozano will speak about her role as a Hispanic business owner and the successes and challenges of running a company during tough economic times. Businesses will learn how to maximize the potential of running a company and will have the opportunity to ask Lozano questions about her experiences and expertise in running one of the most successful newspapers in the country. As part of her commitment to helping small businesses grow and prosper, Lozano has taken an active interest in assisting and advising Hispanic business owners about the struggles that they face when starting or operating a company.

The event will kick off with a speaker symposium at 11:00 a.m. hosted by Dick Neff, senior vice president for Staples and will include a variety of speakers.
