Provo, UT–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–August 30, 2004–On Aug. 19, 2004, Tahitian Noni International received the Shred-Pro Environmental Award for the company’s diligent efforts in the areas of recycling and conservation. This is the first major award that Tahitian Noni International has received for its environmental policies. In giving the award, Shred-Pro acknowledged that Tahitian Noni International’s recycling and conservation practices in 2003 had saved an estimated 1,325 trees, 233 cubic yards of landfill space and over 500,000 gallons of water.

“Our corporate headquarters and grounds were designed with environmental conservation in mind,” stated Ron Tolboe, director of global facilities for Morinda Inc., parent company of Tahitian Noni International. “Our lawns were designed to be watered just once a week. We recycle our paper products. Our buildings save electricity by monitoring when people are in their offices, with automatic systems to turn off lights and lower heating and air-conditioning needs. Our unique dark green TAHITIAN NONI(R) Juice bottles are made from approximately 80% recycled glass. With a bottle of TAHITIAN NONI Juice being sold every 1.8 seconds someplace in the world, that’s approximately 17 million bottles a year that are being created using recycled glass.”

Tahitian Noni International has always been known as an environmental friendly company. “We pick our noni fruit from the islands of Tahiti, one of the most pristine areas of the world,” stated Kelly Olsen, president of Tahitian Noni International. “We are proud of the fact that in our manufacturing process we leave Tahiti as beautiful and pristine as we found it. Our corporation is dedicated to promoting health and wellness for us, as well as the environment.

“We are very grateful to Shred-Pro for acknowledging our conservation and recycling efforts.”
