San Antonio,TX–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–April 16, 2007–The La Costeña Feel The Heat Jalapeño Eating Challenge Tour is heating up the summer for its second consecutive year, by challenging jalapeño lovers to attempt to break last year’s record for the most jalapeños eaten within one minute. The current record is 16 jalapeños. The multi-state tour will be making stops at major Hispanic events across the country. Winners from each participating city will win a $500 cash prize. In addition, for every jalapeño consumed during the contests, La Costeña will donate product to the local food banks and hunger relief agencies, another incentive for jalapeño lovers to participate in the fiery summer challenge. During last year’s tour, more than 800 jalapeños were consumed during the summertime contests.
Featuring its brand new built-in-state-of-the-art kitchen, the mobile tour will also offer the opportunity to experience La Costeña’s authentic Mexican cuisine through on-site cooking demonstrations.
