MIAMI–(HISPANIC PR WIRE – BUSINESS WIRE)–June 27, 2002–After a brief period off the air due to World Cup soccer broadcasts, El Escandalo del Mediodia – Spanish-language television’s liveliest midday program – hits the airwaves once more featuring even more laughter, amusement, and outrageous fun. The comeback of this afternoon favorite brings with it a variety of new segments guaranteed to spice up the show’s already savory mix of talk and entertainment. El Escandalo del Mediodia will offer viewers even more of what they want to watch when it returns to TeleFutura on Monday, July 1, during its regularly scheduled time period of 12 noon to 2 PM EDT (check local listings).

The new Escandalo additions include, “Exposed Secrets” (“Secreticos al Descubierto,”) a tell-all segment that reveals the secrets of the stars; “The Making of a Diva” (“Como Se Hace una Diva”), a piece which traces the steps to becoming a diva; and “Scandalous Lives” (“Vidas Escandalosas”), a gossip segment that highlights celebrity scandals. Additionally, the show’s charismatic co-host, Charytin, takes part in a variety of funny skits portraying the comical character “La Mosquena,” a groupie turned “Nortena” singer who finds herself in more than one hilarious situation. A bountiful supply of Spanish-language television bloopers are presented during another segment similar in format to Entertainment Television’s “Talk Soup.”

One of the TeleFutura Network’s most popular shows, El Escandalo del Mediodia offers something for everyone, ranging from up-to-the-minute news, to fashion tips, to beauty advice, to health information as well as debates concerning the day’s top issues.
