Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–January 15, 2007–The television channel TV VENEZUELA is celebrating its one-year anniversary of keeping Venezuelan residents in the United States updated with the most important news from their country. This channel is transmitted via satellite through DIRECTV on channel 409 and has almost one million subscribers.
TV VENEZUELA was created through a strategic alliance among the Venezuelan channels Globovision, RCTV, and Meridiano Televisión, together with Canal Sur in the United States, with the purpose of filling the informational gap experienced by Venezuelans residing in North America.
TV VENEZUELA’s programming grid is designed to offer its TV viewers a broad daily variety of news, programs, and events. To keep its viewers informed on national events, it offers programs such as “Noticias Globovision,” “Alo Ciudadano,” “Grado 33,” “La Entrevista,” and “Titulares de Mañana.” Sporting events include “Noticiero Deportivo Meridiano,” “Fun Race,” and “Deportes Globovision.” Shows such as “Radio Rochela,” “35mm,” “Faranduleando,” and “Sin Flash TV” have been providing Venezuelan viewers with entertainment throughout the year.
TV VENEZUELA is the only channel in the United States that can boast 100% Venezuelan production, without cuts or edits, allowing the Latin population in the US—especially Venezuelans—to remain in contact with their home country.
To get feedback from its viewers, TV VENEZUELA has developed an opinion poll on its Web site, http://www.canalsur.com, where it invites the general public to subscribe and send comments regarding the programming grid.
