Miami, FL–(HISPANIC PR WIRE)–June 15, 2004–When a strikingly beautiful woman is betrayed by the man she loves, her only recourse may be to use her stunning looks to seek her revenge. Popular novela star Yadhira Carrillo does just that in “Amarte es Mi Pecado” (“Loving You is My Sin”), the Univision Network’s latest hit novela to debut this week at 9 pm (8 pm Central).
Along with the great Don Ernesto Alonso, Benjamín Cann, one of Mexico’s principal directors, led this unique drama series that delivered extraordinary ratings in Mexico and is expected to be one of the most watched primetime programs among U.S. Hispanics of all ages.
Storyline: Women envy her and men long for her, but Nora (Carrillo) only has eyes for Alfredo (Alejandro Ibarra), a handsome but poor boy. Her father insists that she marry a wealthy and influential man, so Nora must keep her love a secret. But when her father passes away, Nora suffers a crushing deception: her stepmother has sold her to the richest man in town…with Alfredo surprisingly acting as her accomplice.
Devastated, she moves to the country to live with her aunt and meets Arturo (Sergio Sendel) with whom she falls madly in love. But cruel fate steps in once again and she loses Arturo to Paulina (Alessandra Rosaldo), even as she carries his baby. After a tragic miscarriage, Nora is utterly destroyed and swears that she will never love again.
Nora vows to dedicate her life to getting rich…and getting even. By using her exceptional beauty she seeks revenge on Arturo, whom she hates with all her soul, but can’t stop loving with all her heart. A love that for her…is a sin.
“Amarte es Mi Pecado” can be seen weekdays from 9-10 pm (8-9 pm Central) only on Univision, the leading Spanish-language television network.
