Ever since Bill Coors invented the aluminum can in 1959, beer innovations and packaging enhancements have been a hallmark of the company, with the goal of delivering the coldest, most refreshing beer to adult consumers. Featuring cold activated mountains on two sides, plus a Vented Wide Mouth(R) for a smooth, refreshing pour and a Frost Brew(R) Liner to lock in Frost Brewed(R) taste, the Cold Activated Can reinforces Coors Light’s continuing commitment to providing beer drinkers the best way to enjoy the “World’s Most Refreshing Beer.”

“Consumers want to know when their beer is cold and ready to drink, whether it’s by the barbecue, on the soccer field or on the kitchen table,” said Royce Wills, Coors Light marketing director. “Now, with Coors Light, there’s no more guesswork. Our new cans will shout out when the beer has been chilled to the perfect temperature. Just like how a good friend tells you like it is, Coors Light tells you when your beer is cold. (Como un buen amigo, Coors Light te lo dice como es.)”

The Cold Activated Can were unveiled on May 15, with special celebratory activities in select markets to welcome the cold front arrivals. The events include massive visual representations of the new Coors Light innovation in which the mountains on the new Coors Light Cold Activated Cans turn blue when the beer’s as cold as the Rockies.

The new 12-ounce Coors Light and Coors Banquet Cold Activated Cans are now available at participating convenience, grocery and liquor stores nationwide.
