In the last year of Pro Mujer&#8217; s involvement in the Partnership for <span class=\"xn-location\">Central America<\/span>, the social enterprise has:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Invested <span class=\"xn-money\">$6 million<\/span>, which has allowed the organization to reach nearly 25,000 individuals with financial inclusion resources, skills-based and entrepreneurship opportunities, and health and well-being services.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Expanded services to <span class=\"xn-location\">Southeast Mexico<\/span>, where six out of ten women live in poverty or extreme poverty conditions, a challenge that is changing the lives of vulnerable women in the area.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Opened its first office in <span class=\"xn-location\">Guatemala<\/span> to increase financial inclusion and professional development opportunities in a country that ranks fourth globally for the highest percentage of women pursuing entrepreneurship (Statista, 2020).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To further support its commitment to bring access to finance and support entrepreneurship, Pro Mujer is developing a Blended Finance Fund with a US <span class=\"xn-money\">$30 million<\/span> first-round target, and an estimated five-year investment period. The investment focus will be the Missing Middle \u2013 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), often led by women, that are too big for microfinance funding but not big enough for commercial bank funding \u2013 in <span class=\"xn-location\">Central America<\/span> and elsewhere in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Pro Mujer created a multi-channel platform, called Emprende Pro Mujer, that will impact the lives of women in <span class=\"xn-location\">Southeast Mexico<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Guatemala<\/span>, and <span class=\"xn-location\">Honduras<\/span> by allowing them to access engaging, customizable educational content aligned with the stage of their business, increasing their networking and mentorship opportunities as part of a regional network of women entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>These initiatives encompass the broad range of work Pro Mujer is developing across the region.
