With <a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3632353-1&amp;h=3191094403&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.debt.com%2Fask-the-expert%2Fwhy-does-fed-raise-interest-rates%2F&amp;a=interest+rates+rising\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">interest rates rising<\/a>, Dvorkin says this could be a more prevalent issue in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>When Debt.com conducted this poll last year, most Americans said they spend between <span class=\"xn-money\">$50<\/span> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-money\">$200<\/span> on disaster preparedness. In 2022, 68 percent of respondents expect to spend more because of inflation.<\/p>\n<p>Supplies people will spend on this year:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>33% bottled water<\/li>\n<li>28% food<\/li>\n<li>16% batteries<\/li>\n<li>13% generator<\/li>\n<li>10% gas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More than half expect to spend between <span class=\"xn-money\">$50<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-money\">$100<\/span>.
