The ceremony took place at America&#8217;s Center Ferrara Theater in <span class=\"xn-location\">St. Louis<\/span>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"prni_dvprnejpg74ffleft\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"width: 100%; text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"prnejpg74ffleft\" style=\"width: 400px; height: 68px;\" title=\" \" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnewswire.com\/media\/1854012\/USPS_Logo.jpg\" alt=\" \" align=\"middle\"\/><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;USPS is honored to continue in the celebration of Kwanzaa \u2014 a communal tradition that has grown to hold special meaning to millions of people since its inception in 1966,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Eddie Banner<\/span>, USPS Kansas-Missouri district manager, who served as the dedicating official. &#8220;I am pleased to dedicate this colorful and festive stamp in honor of Kwanzaa.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Joining Banner for the ceremony were master of ceremonies <span class=\"xn-person\">Tracie Berry-McGhee<\/span>, founder of the SisterKeeper Empowerment Center; <span class=\"xn-person\">Jeanice L. Baker<\/span>, president of the St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; <span class=\"xn-person\">Cheryl McNeil<\/span>, fixed assets and sales use tax manager customer service at Edward Jones Investments; <span class=\"xn-person\">Cheryl Jordan<\/span>, pharmacy benefit implementation specialist at Lumeris; and <span class=\"xn-person\">Erin Robinson<\/span>, stamp artist and Emmy nominated illustrator.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kwanzaa reminds us to be intentional in making an impact within our families, communities and culture \u2014 to build bridges not barriers,&#8221; said Baker. &#8220;We are excited and honored to have partnered with the United States Postal Service in unveiling this beautiful Forever stamp.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The stamp design depicts two children \u2014 a girl and a boy \u2014 standing together with a kinara (candleholder) and the seven lit candles (mishumaa saba) in front of them. They are dressed in robes akin to spiritual garments. A light-blue circle behind the children&#8217;s heads represents wholeness and unifies the figures, and a mosaic motif frames the background.<\/p>\n<p>Art Director <span class=\"xn-person\">Antonio Alcal\u00e1<\/span> designed the stamp with original artwork by <span class=\"xn-person\">Erin Robinson<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Kwanzaa stamp is sold in booklets of 20.
