The annual report showed 13,998 total sales with a combined dollar volume of <span class=\"xn-money\">$22.6 billion<\/span>, a 14% increase in dollar volume from the previous year.<\/p>\n<div id=\"prni_dvprnejpg5034left\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"width: 100%; text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"prnejpg5034left\" title=\"Texas Association of Realtors logo.\" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnewswire.com\/media\/1317682\/Texas_Realtors_Logo.jpg\" alt=\"Texas Association of Realtors logo.\" align=\"middle\"\/><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;The profile\u00a0of a home sold for a million dollars or higher has changed with\u00a0the high demand for <span class=\"xn-location\">Texas<\/span> real estate over the past few years,&#8221;\u00a0said <span class=\"xn-person\">Marcus Phipps<\/span>, chairman of Texas Realtors.\u00a0&#8220;In some areas, <span class=\"xn-money\">one million dollars<\/span> will buy a large home with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and many luxury features, but in others, the value of the location itself is high enough to push more-modest homes over the million-dollar mark.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The number of homes that sold for at least <span class=\"xn-money\">$1 million<\/span> accounted for 3.6% of all homes sold in <span class=\"xn-location\">Texas<\/span>, an increase of 0.8% from last year. The\u00a0total dollar amount represented 14.2% of all residential sales dollar volume across the state.<\/p>\n<p>The median price for <span class=\"xn-location\">Texas<\/span> homes sold for <span class=\"xn-money\">$1 million<\/span> or higher during the first 10 months of 2022 was <span class=\"xn-money\">$1,336,500<\/span>, which is 0.5% less than the previous year. The average price per square foot for homes that sold for at least <span class=\"xn-money\">$1 million<\/span> increased 3% to <span class=\"xn-money\">$423<\/span>, more than double the <span class=\"xn-money\">$192<\/span> average price per square foot for all residential <span class=\"xn-location\">Texas<\/span> homes.<\/p>\n<p>From January to <span class=\"xn-chron\">October 2022<\/span>, these homes spent an average of 47 days on the market, a decrease of three days from the same time frame in 2021.
