This is a way to spotlight the beauty of the local cultures and people in the places they see and enjoy every day on their cruise, beginning with large-scale canvases on a first-of-its-kind adventure \u2013 <i>Icon of the Seas<\/i>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The first group of budding artists, making up the <b>Artist Discovery Program: Caribbean Edition<\/b>, will be commissioned to paint nine large-scale murals in three <b>highly visible locations:<\/b> the <b>Royal Promenade<\/b> neighborhood<i>, <\/i>the heartbeat of the new ship; among the first sights guests see at <i>Icon&#8217;s <\/i><b>main entrance;<\/b> and within the <b>Suite Neighborhood<\/b>. Each piece will invoke the vibrancy of the <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span><i>, <\/i>joining the collection on board that will include an array of pieces created by <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span> artists or inspired by the region.<\/p>\n<p>Every artist will receive a grant from the cruise line, ranging from <span class=\"xn-money\">$20,000<\/span> to more than <span class=\"xn-money\">$100,000<\/span>, to see their vision through.
