Today,\u00a0LCDP has grown to a network of two Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) clinics, a school-based mental health program, and a thriving Community Health Center, annually serving <b>5,000+<\/b> individuals directly and <b>50,000+<\/b> through community outreach.<\/p>\n<p>Following the <b>1991<\/b> <span class=\"xn-location\">Mount Pleasant<\/span> riots, LCDP initiated cultural competency training for local agencies, and continues today in <b>coalitions<\/b> addressing social determinants of health, inclusion, and justice.<\/p>\n<p>In <b>2010<\/b>, LCDP opened the Empod\u00e9rate Center, safe spaces for <b>LGBTQ young adults <\/b>addressing medical and societal roots of the HIV epidemic.<\/p>\n<p>In <b>2015<\/b>, they partnered with <span class=\"xn-person\">Prince Georges&#8217;<\/span> County launching <span class=\"xn-person\">Mi Refugio<\/span>, a youth mental health program serving <b>1,300+ students<\/b>, <b>100% graduating.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The pandemic disproportionately impacted marginalized communities.
