(NYSE: GEV) announced that it has secured an order to supply its Class H natural gas-fired combined cycle power generation equipment for Generadora San Felipe Limited&#8217;s (GSF) 470 megawatt (MW) power plant in Punta Caucedo, <span class=\"xn-person\">Boca Chica<\/span>, Dominican Republic.\u00a0This project is GE Vernova&#8217;s first H-Class gas turbine order in the <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span>. It will contribute to implementation of the <span class=\"xn-location\">Dominican Republic&#8217;s<\/span> climate ambitions and sustainable development goals by supporting the expansion of renewable energy through its dispatchable power profile.<\/p>\n<div id=\"prni_dvprnejpg0352left\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"width: 100%; text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"prnejpg0352left\" title=\" \" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnewswire.com\/media\/2582439\/picture_generadora_san_felipe.jpg\" alt=\" \" align=\"middle\"\/><\/div>\n<p>In recent years this <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span> country, one of the fastest growing economies in <span class=\"xn-location\">Latin America<\/span>, has managed to replace most of its oil-based electricity generation capacity with natural gas.
