In 2022-2023, more than\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=4417172-1&amp;h=946752278&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ed.gov%2Fteaching-and-administration%2Fsupporting-students%2Fchronic-absenteeism&amp;a=1+out+of+4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">1 out of 4<\/a> U.S. children were chronically absent, missing 18 or more days of school. School-based health centers help children avoid health-related absences and offer comfort to families, knowing their child is getting the care they need, without caregivers needing to take time off work to bring children to medical appointments.
