Brown<\/span>, MD<\/a>, El Fakhri, Liu, and <a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.yale.edu\/profile\/douglas-rothman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"xn-person\">Douglas Rothman<\/span>, PhD<\/a>. More than 40 listening sessions across <span class=\"xn-org\">Yale&#8217;s<\/span> science and engineering communities revealed strong enthusiasm for a coordinated approach to biomedical imaging.<\/p>\n<p>The institute aims to:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Create novel biomedical imaging technologies across diverse modalities\n<\/li>\n<li>Translate discoveries to guide diagnostics and therapies\n<\/li>\n<li>Apply artificial intelligence and data science to enhance research and clinical care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The institute will integrate the work of longstanding <span class=\"xn-org\">Yale<\/span> centers and cores\u2014including the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Center and Magnetic Resonance Research Center\u2014along with data science and imaging informatics expertise.
