Following a transition period of service for the region, <i>Tiscapa<\/i> will begin providing regular service between the U.S., <span class=\"xn-location\">Dominican Republic<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Central America<\/span>, offering direct market connections for goods such as medical devices, household goods, food and perishables.<\/p>\n<p>This follows sister ships <i>Quetzal<\/i> and <i>Cop\u00e1n<\/i>, which are also strategically built to serve <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Guatemala<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Honduras<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Nicaragua<\/span>, and the growing trade between the U.S. and <span class=\"xn-location\">Central America<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Avance Class ships, operated under charter from Eastern Pacific Shipping, are named to honor the cultural aspects of <span class=\"xn-location\">Central America<\/span>, where Crowley has operated shipping and logistics services for more than 60 years. Located in the capital city of <span class=\"xn-location\">Managua<\/span> in <span class=\"xn-location\">Nicaragua<\/span>, Tiscapa is a lagoon of volcanic origin that formed over 10,000 years ago.
