The price you pay for meals depends on which state you live in and your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fns.usda.gov\/school-meals\/income-eligibility-guidelines\" target=\"_blank\">income level<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If your children attend a school that&#8217;s enrolled in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fns.usda.gov\/nslp\/national-school-lunch-program-nslp\" target=\"_blank\">National School Lunch Program<\/a>, they are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch daily throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Some schools also provide free snacks to children who attend certain after-school programs.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Program features<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>It&#8217;s available for children and students under 18. <\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s offered throughout the school year at public schools, nonprofit private schools, and preschools. <\/li>\n<li>The breakfast and lunch menu is the same for every student. <\/li>\n<li>Everyone receives equal portions that meet USDA nutritional requirements. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><i>How to enroll<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Contact or visit your child&#8217;s school to find out about the program requirements and application process.
