Every employee, contractor, and administrator is responsible for keeping security top of mind.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>AT&amp;T reports that there was a <b>62% increase<\/b> in the number of Distributed Denial of Service attacks, or attacks that disrupted company operations, over the past 2 years<sup>2<\/sup>. And AT&amp;T has seen a dramatic <b>458% increase <\/b>in the number of times hackers searched Internet of Things connections for vulnerabilities<sup>3.<\/sup> However, not all businesses are taking action:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Nearly <b>75% of businesses<\/b> do not involve their full board of directors in cybersecurity oversight<sup>4<\/sup>. <\/li>\n<li>Approximately <b>51% of organizations<\/b> are not re-evaluating their information security as a result of high-visibility data breaches<sup>5<\/sup>. <\/li>\n<li>Roughly<b> 78% of all employees<\/b> do not follow the security policies set forth by their employer<sup>6<\/sup>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With the dramatic increase in hacker activity, AT&amp;T believes that sharing its security insights and expertise will help others stay protected.
