He began his academic career as Associate Director of the Cancer Center at <span class=\"xn-org\">University of Connecticut<\/span>, where he also served on the Department of Surgery faculty, before returning to <span class=\"xn-org\">Howard University<\/span> in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>As a distinguished researcher and surgeon, Dr. Frederick is the author of numerous peer-reviewed works. He has received many awards honoring his outstanding scholarship and service.
