The proposed settlement benefits members of the Class who make valid claims by submitting a Claim Form through this settlement website: <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.downloadinsurancesettlement.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.DownloadInsuranceSettlement.com<\/a><\/u>. Class members will receive a cash payment of <span class=\"xn-money\">$50<\/span> for each separate purchase they made of Extended Download Service for Norton products (&#8220;EDS&#8221;) or Norton Download Insurance (&#8220;NDI&#8221;) during the Class Period, subject to <i>pro rata <\/i>reduction if the total claims exceed the Net Settlement Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing will determine whether the settlement should be approved by the Court as fair, reasonable and adequate to the Class, and whether the claims relating to the purchase of EDS and NDI described in the Settlement Agreement should be dismissed on the merits and with prejudice as against the Defendants. You are not required to take any action at this time. You may choose to make a claim. You may file written objections to the settlement no later than <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 21, 2015<\/span> and appear at the court hearing. You may choose to exclude yourself from the settlement no later than <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 29, 2015<\/span>, but if you do so you cannot make a claim and cannot object to the settlement. If the settlement is approved and you do not exclude yourself, you give up the right to sue for the claims the settlement resolves, and you will be bound by the terms of the settlement.<\/p>\n<p>Plaintiffs&#8217; counsel intend to make a request for an award of attorneys&#8217; fees of up to 33 1\/3% of the Settlement Fund and reimbursement of costs and expenses incurred in this litigation at a point in the future.
