A panel of Salvadorian officials and a US businessman discussed the opportunities and advantages of doing business and investing in <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the forum <b>Mr. <span class=\"xn-person\">Sigfrido Reyes<\/span>, President of PROESA<\/b> said: &#8220;More than 50 companies from all around the world have already established a home for their operations in <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>. We have every expectation that it will continue to grow.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Referencing the benefits of commerce in <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>, Reyes continued: &#8220;The people of <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span> are friendly and gracious in their hospitality.&#8221; <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>, located in the middle of the Americas, has adopted the US dollar &#8211; considered a major factor for investors.\u00a0 Citing the issue of safety, security, and overall stability of <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>, Reyes said: &#8220;We have fought and won corruption, have worked vigorously to promote economic growth, and today we offer a country that is ready, in all aspects, to be your partner.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Speaking specifically to the issue of economics, <b><span class=\"xn-person\">Carolina Vid<\/span><\/b><b>e<\/b><b>s, Investment and Export Manager for PROESA<\/b>, said: &#8220;It all starts with investment laws.\u00a0 <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span> offers attractive tax incentives which guaranty investors a secure environment.&#8221; The country has begun to attract foreign direct investors (FDI), a statistic supported by the fact that it has more foreign direct investors than any other country in the region. <\/p>\n<p><b>Phil <\/b><b>Pedone<\/b><b>, panelist and US businessman<\/b> with operations in <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>, believes <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span> is an outstanding place to conduct business, stating: &#8220;They have free trade agreements with 42 countries, and taxes are very favorable for foreign investors.&#8221; According to Pedone, profits from their Salvadorian business have allowed them to make investments that have helped grow their business both in US and <span class=\"xn-location\">El Salvador<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p><b>Salvadoran UN Ambassador, <span class=\"xn-person\">H.E.
