The awards program is the first of its kind to recognize and celebrate the new vehicle volume registration leaders based on model year for the following diverse consumer automotive segments:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Ethnic Consumers (African American, Asian, Hispanic and Native American) <\/li>\n<li>Women (all women regardless of ethnic background) <\/li>\n<li>Ethnic Millennial buyers (18 \u2013 34 year old new vehicle registrants) <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The NAMAD\/IHS Automotive Awards will be presented annually to recognize automotive brands and models that have the highest new vehicle registrations with ethnic, women and millennial consumers. IHS Automotive new vehicle registration data has been used to determine the winning brands based on 2015 model year actual U.S. personal new vehicle registration volumes (<span class=\"xn-chron\">October 2014<\/span> through <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 2015<\/span>). This year&#8217;s awards are based on an analysis of more than 13 million personal new vehicle registrations. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This awards program will recognize the brands that the multicultural community is buying and also recognize manufacturers that are dedicating marketing efforts to this growing segment,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Damon Lester<\/span>, NAMAD president.<\/p>\n<p>The award winners will be announced during the Diversity Volume Leadership Awards ahead of the North American International Auto Show on <span class=\"xn-chron\">Sunday, January 10, 2016<\/span>. The invitation-only awards program, reception and dinner will take place from <span class=\"xn-chron\">5:00 p.m.<\/span> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-chron\">8:00 p.m.<\/span> in Room 410-A at Cobo Center in <span class=\"xn-location\">Detroit<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ethnic buyers represented 28 percent of all U.S. new vehicle registrations in 2015, and are one of the fastest growing audiences,&#8221;
