Too many Sacramentans lack access to doctors, medicine and basic medical care. Healthy Partners is an important step towards bringing health care to all of <span class=\"xn-location\">Sacramento<\/span>.&#8221; \u2013 <span class=\"xn-person\">Kim Williams<\/span>, Hub Director<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the program, residents must:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Be 19 \u2013 64 years of age <\/li>\n<li><span class=\"xn-location\">Sacramento County<\/span> residents <\/li>\n<li>Meet certain income requirements (income at or below 138% of the federal poverty level) <\/li>\n<li>Have certain restricted scope Medi-Cal coverage or try applying for it (People that do not have health insurance and do not qualify for other healthcare programs) <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Basic services will be free of charge though residents will have to pay for prescriptions.\u00a0To apply for the program, residents can call the County Directly at: (916) 874-1805 \/ Monday \u2013 Friday.\u00a0However, because the application can be complicated, advocates are encouraging residents to call an enrollment agency that can help guide residents through the process in the language they need.\u00a0We encourage those seeking help applying to call Sacramento Covered: 916.414.8333.\u00a0Their navigators have been trained in the new program and can provide help in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Russian.<\/p>\n<p>Interviews for more information on the program are available in English and Spanish.\u00a0Please contact <span class=\"xn-person\">Annie Fox<\/span>: 916-740-9472.<\/p>\n<p>Sacramento BHC is one of fourteen community improvement initiatives currently implemented throughout the <span class=\"xn-location\">State of California<\/span> and serves approximately 90,000 <span class=\"xn-location\">Sacramento County<\/span> residents.
