The existing standard has been in effect since 1993 and is enforced by Cal\/OSHA.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Condoms are required to protect adult film workers from exposure to HIV and other sexually transmitted infections,&#8221; said Cal\/OSHA Chief <span class=\"xn-person\">Juliann Sum<\/span>. &#8220;Cal\/OSHA will continue to enforce the existing regulations and investigate complaints in the adult film industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Workers in the adult film industry should know current laws protect them from injury and illness on the job, and where to go for help if their employer doesn&#8217;t follow those laws. More information on how to file a complaint with Cal\/OSHA can be found on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dir.ca.gov\/dosh\/adultfilmindustry.html#help\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Cal\/OSHA website<\/a> or by calling (714) 558-4300. Employers in the adult film industry must also know how to protect their employees from health and safety hazards and understand the consequences of failing to comply with state regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Cal\/OSHA helps protect workers from health and safety hazards on the job in almost every workplace in <span class=\"xn-location\">California<\/span>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dir.ca.gov\/dosh\/consultation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Cal\/OSHA&#8217;s Consultation Services Branch<\/a> provides free and voluntary assistance to employers and employee organizations to improve their health and safety programs.
