Mr. Baca added, &#8220;Dr. Telles brings decades of knowledge, experience, and commitment to health with a special emphasis on the mental health issues of the Hispanic Community.&#8221; Dr. Telles commented, &#8220;While there have been great advances in health we are still not where we need to be with respect to the mental health of all communities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. <span class=\"xn-person\">Cynthia Telles<\/span> is the director of the Spanish-Speaking Psychosocial Clinic of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uclahealth.org\/homepage_neuro.cfm?id=267\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospita<\/a>l at the <span class=\"xn-org\">University of California, Los Angeles<\/span> School of Medicine, and a clinical professor with the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Telles serves on the boards of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and serves on the Executive Advisory Board of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of <span class=\"xn-location\">Georgia<\/span>, Inc. Dr. Telles also serves on the Los Angeles Airport Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Telles is a founding board member of the Public Policy Institute of <span class=\"xn-location\">California<\/span>, and previously served on the boards of the California Endowment (as board chair from 2004 to 2006), <span class=\"xn-person\">Sanwa Bank<\/span>, Americas United Bank, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp.
