The 2015 preliminary preterm birth rate for the U.S. was up slightly, to 9.62 percent from 9.57 percent in 2014. <\/p>\n<div id=\"prni_dvprnejpgc535left\" style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: left; WIDTH: 100%\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"prnejpgc535left\" title=\"March of Dimes Foundation Logo\" border=\"0\" alt=\"March of Dimes Foundation Logo\" align=\"middle\" src=\"http:\/\/photos.prnewswire.com\/prnvar\/20150409\/197662LOGO\"\/><\/div>\n<p>This is a wake-up call. Even a slight increase in preterm birth is unacceptable for the nation&#8217;s babies.
