On <span class=\"xn-chron\">July 20<\/span>, we will educate, inspire and build on our community&#8217;s power, with the goal of reminding our leaders that Latinos are much more than just the fastest growing demographic group.&#8221;\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>In describing TLC&#8217;s goals for the Convention, Barreto said: &#8220;We will connect our members, with elected officials and with the Republican Presidential campaign. And we will continue to serve as a key center of influence and a leading voice on the issues that matter most to Hispanic Americans\u2014 national security, the economy, healthcare and education.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Facilitating access and vital information at this year&#8217;s Republican Convention, TLC&#8217;s event program will include: a briefing entitled <i>&#8220;Is it the Best of Times or the Worst of Times?&#8221;<\/i> and an &#8220;<i>Honoring Hispanic Leaders Luncheon<\/i>&#8220;. The briefing will examine the issues and common sense solutions important to the business community and will be emceed by FOX News Contributor and The <span class=\"xn-org\">Washington Times<\/span> political columnist, <span class=\"xn-person\">Mercedes Viana-Schlapp<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>The Latino Coalition has confirmed influential leaders and speakers including: former Presidential nominee <span class=\"xn-location\">New Jersey<\/span> Governor <span class=\"xn-person\">Chris Christie<\/span>, Congressman <span class=\"xn-person\">Bill Flores<\/span> (R-TX), Congressman <span class=\"xn-person\">Keith Rothfus<\/span> (R-PA), newly-appointed Mexican Ambassador <span class=\"xn-person\">Carlos Sada<\/span>, The Libre Initiative Executive Director <span class=\"xn-person\">Daniel Garza<\/span> and key leadership from the Republican National Committee.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In past elections, the Hispanic American electorate have proven their voting power,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Jennifer Sevilla Korn<\/span>, RNC Deputy Political Director. &#8220;This election will be no different. The poll sampling confirms that the country&#8217;s growing Republican and Independent Hispanic population does not have an overwhelming favorable view of either presidential candidate, to date.
